Antonios body language was very obvious to see after about 20 mins .......not sure he is enjoying his new role

Another unconvincing performance from him in my opinion.

As said below, he just doesn't look like he is enjoying playing there which is in complete contrast to how he was growing into the Forward/Winger role last season

He will get found out at RB

Opening day against Hazard will be an eye opener for Slav

It weakens both our attack and our defence him playing RB.....very very strange decision by Slav and concerned he is pressing on with it

He was pony last night. I was hoping he'd become a goal attacking fullback but it ain't happening.

Hopefully Santon can fill LB, and BYRAM gets his place at RB because for me, he was the standout player last night, even being on the wrong flank.

This isn't good. If Bilic persists we will lose him. He's obviously a really nice guy and will do what he's told to help the team but sometimes people take the piss with people like that.

There's plenty of other clubs that would promise him an attacking position. Why be so cheap and not buy a real right back? It's not like we dont have the money?

I dont get it.

Pretty sad to see this is. One of the stand out players last season and he was progressing so well. Was looking forward to seeing him continue that this year as I assumed he would be put back in midfield.

He's so hungry to play he's probably gone to the gaffer 'yeh I can play right back' and been shoved there to get on with it. With Fegz coming in I can't see him getting a place in midfield.

Think maybe it's a mix of Bilic wanting to play him but not being able to play him in his position and Antonio just wanting to be on the pitch. But Antonio isn't happy and Bilic is doing the team an injustice by continuing to play him out of position. Something gotta give,.

i made a point of watching him last night 2nd half. all he wants to do is get forward. at one point their left winger got in behind him, and i said to DEFJAM in the premier league he'll be in trouble.

he's not a right back, and the more we play him there the more i feel he'll become disheartened.

I don't think that's really an applicable argument. If the oaf was playing him as a right-back he'd also be fining Antonio every time he went over the half-way line. He'd have to get a second job just to pay his fines.

For the people who say he was 'shit' last night, did they miss the time when he flicked the ball over two opposition players, ran through them, sprinted more or less the length of the pitch to the byline and put a superb cross straight onto Carroll's head which he cushioned into Kouyate's path to smash home our second?

I hate that Slav is doing this. It's like Allardyce constantly picking Kevin Nolan. Antonio was our best player last year bar Payet and maybe one or two others. Feghouli should be battling to take the right wing position off him.
